Stem cuttings of Ficus glomerata were treated with various concentrations of I.B.A. and N.A.A. (0.1,0.2,0.5 and 1.0mgml-1) for 24 hrs by the month of August 1988 and the observations were recorded after 90 days. I.B.A. at 0.5 and 1.0 mgml-1 concentration level enhanced maximum ischolar_maining response as well as sprouting percentage. N.A.A. at (0.1 and 0.2 mgml-l) was found suitable for initiation in branch cuttings. 1.0 mgml-1 of I.B.A. and 0.1 mgml-l of N.A.A. are promising concentrations for ischolar_maining response and largest ischolar_main lengths of cuttings.- Reactivation of Dormant Lenticels by Exogenous Application of STIK and GA3

Tbe cuttings of Holoptelea integrifolia and Pyrus pashia trees receiving STIK as well as GA3 at 0.1,0.2,0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 mgmt-1 levels showed that the stimulalion of lenlicels is more or less paralleled in the two taxa. The higher concentrations of STIK proved more effective in inducing new lenticels, whereas GA3 showed a pronounced influence at lower concentrations.- On the Occurrence of Plantago lanceolata Linn. from Garhwal Himalayas

Various concentrations of Stik (0.1, 0.2, 0.5, 1.0,2.0 mgml-1) initiated higher percentage of ischolar_maining as well as sprouting of nodes, but only less subsequent shoot growth in the stem cuttings of Vitex nigundo. Similar concentrations of GA3 have hardly shown any ischolar_maining initiation, but also lower sprouting percentage, although, it exhibited greater subsequent shoot growth than that of Stik. Stik at 0.5 and 1.0 mgml-1 level have given maximum percentage of moisture content of the ischolar_mains, with 100% ischolar_maining response in cuttings.- Effect of Stik on Lenticels of Cedrela toona Roxb
